Exhibition of Creative Minds

15 November 2013 | General Interest

We have received so many positive comments about this exhibition from our students, parents, grandparents, staff and parishioners. Our hall looked magnificent because everywhere that you looked you could see the student’s colourful, creative work. On our ‘opening evening’ we were entertained by our choir, some of our students performing their Irish dances and some enthusiastic dances from our ‘Glee Club’ students. This exhibition highlighted the fact that we have a large number of talented students at St Damian’s both in the visual and performing arts areas. Our very own Parish Priest Father Vincent exhibited some of his paintings and embroidery samples. What a talented man!  We express our thanks to so many students, parents and staff who dedicated their energy and time to ensuring that this exhibition was a success and we are so appreciative. It is important that I pay special tribute to Wendy Nagel, one of our parents and to Jessica Quinn, one of our staff members who initiated many of the ideas and who worked tirelessly to ensure the success of this event.

As a principal I feel so proud of this engaging Community event.
